Where is Trannyweb?

Trannyweb is everywhere. Our servers are Vancouver, Canada, our programmer is in Quebec in Canada, the little Trannyweb office is in London England and we have staff in the US, UK, Australia, France and Germany.

This site was intended to be an international community from the very start. We now have members in just about every country in the world. However, the majority of our members are from North America, the UK, Australia and other English speaking countries.

Although the Trannyweb community's first language is English, a translation service is available on the front page at http://www.trannyweb.com, which offers versions in French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

How do I change my 'Persuasion'?

We were just trying to be polite when we decided to use the word 'Persuasion'.� It is something that you ought to know when you register and something that for the majority of our members, will never change.

That's one reason why this field is not available for editing in your profile.� Another reason is because we did at one time have an outbreak of admirers pretending to be trannies so they could win the confidence of their prey before showing their true colors.

That is not playing fair so we decided to remove the field from our user's editable profile pages and that put a stop to the faking overnight.

But what do you do if you are one of the small (and some would say lucky) minority among our members who actually go on to have SRS and change their gender for real?

What kind of photos can I upload to Trannyweb?

We expect all members to upload a Profile Photo and an Icon. These are used in various places around the site including the forums and the chat rooms, not to mention your personal profile.

Profile photos should ideally be of your head and shoulders and show your face. However, we d understand that not everyone is out and proud so we will allow photos that do not give your identity away as long as they are not of a sexual nature.
Pictures of genitals or pictures containing nudity or of a generally sexual nature which are uploaded to member's profiles or personal ads will be deleted and members who upload them may be expelled from the site.

We are not prudes at Trannyweb but we do have to conform to certain standards. For example, we are no longer able to accept PayPal because in 2005 several photos containing nudity were discovered by them, among our personal adverts. They had been uploaded by our members and our PayPal account was closed forever. Therefore, we do have to be careful.

Profile photos do not appear as soon as they have been uploaded because they are initially put into an approval area where our staff manually approve them before they appear in your profile. This usually happens quite quickly but just to cover ourselves, let�s say that it could take up to 24 hours.

Having said all that, Full Members are able to upload photos to their own photo albums without these restrictions as they are only available to other Full Members and cannot be seen by casual surfers or indexed by search engines.

However photos of people who are under the age of 18 are expressly forbidden anywhere on this site.

Uploading Icons & Profile Pictures to Trannyweb

Firstly we should state that nudity and photographs that contain sexual content are not allowed. We are not prudes at Trannyweb but we do need to distance ourselves from the myriad of tranny porn sites that exist on the web. Trannyweb is not among them.

Uploading your profile picture and icon should be easy if you follow these instructions. Ideally your profile picture should be a head and shoulders shot but we do understand that not everyone is out and proud, so it can be whatever you like really. Whatever size of photos you upload, our software will resize them to make them 150 pixels high. our picture will also need to be in JPEG or GIF format.

Once you have uploaded your photo and icon, they will go into our vetting area where they will be viewed by real people and either approved or rejected. We do this because profile photos and icons can be seen right around the site, including on our front page, where they can be seen by minors. Trannyweb is not a porn site and we do not want some member's profile pics to put across the impression that we are.

Our forum moderators run this system and they will accept pretty much any photos that are legal and do not contain sexual content of any type. It doesn't usually take long for new pics to be approved but just to cover ourselves here, let's say that it could take up to 24 hours.

And if you don't have a photo of your own, you can always use one of our icons instead.On the photo and icon upload page you can also specify up to four YouTube videos to appear in your profile and you can also choose a background for your profile page.
